Elevating Youth Potential Together
Youth Elevation Project launched from a vision sparked in local aviation, where Philadelphia youth first took to the skies to experience learning without limits. Building on this foundation of hands-on exploration, YEP has transformed into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to youth empowerment through creative arts and cutting-edge STEAM programming. Our roots are grounded in community partnerships, especially within West, Southwest, and Northeast Philadelphia neighborhoods, where the need for safe, inspiring opportunities continues to grow. Today, we open doors for youth ages 6 to 19, especially those in under-resourced areas, helping them discover their confidence through bucket drumming, digital media, sewing and design, and technology labs. Mentorship and collaboration are at the heart of what we do, ensuring that every young person has access to positive role models and supportive learning spaces. Through innovation and inclusion, YEP creates pathways for educational success, future careers, and lifelong skills. We believe in saying YEP to a brighter tomorrow for Philadelphia's youth. We offer engaging programs to help participants grow their confidence by taking creative risks and sharing their unique talents in front of peers. Friendly mentors and supportive teams help each young person feel seen, valued, and ready to try new things.
Skills
Every YEP program is build to give the chance to build practical, real-world skills. We help guide our students through a variety of training to help them decide on a career path for the future and open new opportunities and interests for them.
Teamwork
By offering group activities, we ensure our students learn how to solve challenges together. In this way we ensure participants develop strong interpersonal skills in addition to technical knowledge.
